BACK <<       Wang Yen-nien 1996 Lecture (Part 1)

In 1996 Wang Yen-nien came to New York City for the first time and gave a series of lectures and workshops concerning Taijiquan in general and Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan in particular. The lecture and workshops were recorded. Master Wang is accompanied by Julia Fisher-Fairchild, who provides translation (and is his senior assistant, besides being a YMT instructor in her own right).

You can download the first 20 minutes in Realplayer format. This file is 3.3 MB and should take 8-10 minutes if you have a 56K modem. When it is finished downloading Realplayer will open and you can listen to it. You should save the purple Realplayer file that appears on your desktop. To save the file you must copy it to another folder or location. When you shut down your internet browser the original file will dissapear. You can click on your saved file anytime to listen to the lecture, without having to download the it again. You can also download the first 5-7 minutes in MP3 format. The large file is better audio quality than the real player file (It is the first 6:48 of the lecture). The small file is about the same quality as the real player file and includes roughly the first six minutes of the lecture. If you have trouble downloading the sound files try option clicking them (for macs). I have reloaded (3/11/00) the large MP3 file, as visitors to the site have reported some problems with it playing back properly. Let me know if it is working for you. More of this lecture will be available soon.
